Becoming a Sponsor
Dear Community Member,
The Sharks Swim Team competes in an organization of 13 park districts known as the DuPage Swim and Dive Conference (DSDC). Our team is composed of over 50 boys and girls, ranging in age from 5 through 18. While we do compete, the summer swim season is more about building sportsmanship, courage, friendship and a sense of community in our kids; as well as teaching and developing a skill they will continue to use their whole lives. The Sharks were founded in 2019 as a merger of the Wood Dale Water Rats (est. 1974) and Addison Frogs (est. 1976).
The Wood Dale – Addison Swim Team Parent Club, a 501(c)3/non-profit organization, would like to invite you to help assure that there will be another 50 years of swim seasons to come. The financial cost of ensuring a successful and enjoyable swim season is substantial. Our parent club is responsible for providing equipment, uniforms, awards, activities, and scholarships for our swimmers. Covering those costs is simply not possible without the generosity of our sponsors and donors. It is our hope that you will find it possible to join us in that end.
Attached is more detailed information on supporting the Sharks, including benefits that our team can provide in return. It is our sincere desire to develop a mutually beneficial relationship, and it is our belief that we offer more unique exposure than that typically found in other youth sports. Our meets can involve as many as 300 families, and require as many as 50 parents to run. Our team is its own community within multiple communities, and your involvement will be very visible to many.

Many of our swimmers have endured the loss of their pool due to park district cutbacks and the loss of swim seasons due to COVID. They would greatly appreciate your generosity in whatever manner you or your organization finds possible, thereby giving them the opportunity for another season of fun under the sun.
