Shark families! It’s time to register for swim! We will be holding registration events on Monday, April 25th and Wednesday, April 27th from 6-8 pm. Come find out what we have planned for the summer! We will have sign up sheets for meet volunteers and information about the season. Registration information can be found on pages 16 and 17 of the Park District Program Guide and also in the information tab on the Swimtopia website.

This year team suits will be optional and available through Urban Tri Gear (formerly Swimmers Edge). If you need help with swimsuit fittings, a representative will be at the event on Monday to get your swimmer measured and fitted. Because of supply issues, you will need to order pretty quickly, so if you can’t be there Monday, be sure to follow the fit guide on the website.

Trial week will be Tuesday, May 31st through June 4th from 5:30-7 pm. Kids are busy this time of year, but we want to encourage all swimmers to come out for whatever practices they can during trial week. Swimmers must be registered to participate in trial week.

We will have an optional fundraiser to help offset the parent fee. You will pay in full at registration, but if your swimmer sells World’s Finest Chocolates, the Parent Board will issue you a refund for the amount your swimmer sold up to $50. It will also be a team fundraiser to help pay for awards and events. There will be prizes for swimmers who sell the most chocolate! Details and ordering are in the Google doc below.

Judges! If you didn’t take a certification class last year, your certification is EXPIRED and now that we are back to dual meets, we will need certified judges! The DSDC will hold classes on June 1st and 7th in Bloomingdale. Times TBA, but they will be in the evening.

Finally, have you ever wondered how the meets and events get organized? We have a fantastic group of parents on the Parent Board who work together to make sure it all gets done!
