Wood Dale Addison Sharks Swim Team

The Swim Team is open to any age group through high school. If you can swim one lap of the pool you can join! The Swim Team meets for eight weeks and all swimmers will participate in a number of home and away meets. Practice workouts include instruction in stroke technique and flip turns. The Wood Dale/Addison Sharks Swim Team complies with the DuPage Swim and Dive Conference regulations.

Practices

Practices will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 – 10:00am, with different time slots for each age group. Time slots and a specific schedule will be provided after registration when numbers in each age group are determined.

Trial Week – May 31 – June 3

Trial week allows swimmers to check out the swim team and determine if it something in which they would like to participate. Swimmers must be registered to be able to participate in Trial Week. A time trial will be held at the Friday practice on June 3. Refunds will be given no later than Monday, June 6.

Parents’ Club

The Wood Dale Addison Sharks Parents’ Club is an integral part of the Swim Team. The Parents’ Club fee allows the club to provide team swimsuits, awards, and other “perks” for the swimmers. This year, there are two options. For those who wish to participate in the fundraiser, the fee is $25. Families who do not wish to participate in the fundraiser will pay $50.

The Beach Waterpark Facility Surcharge

For the 2022 season, each member of the team is required to purchase an annual pool pass for The Beach at the cost of $59. This fee helps cover the cost of lifeguards and other staff, specifically used during swim team practices and meets.

What is the cost of participating in the Swim Team?

The fees for participation in the Swim Team are:

Program Fee $140 (same as last year)

Parents’ Club Fee $ 25 (with fundraiser participation) $ 50 (without fundraiser participation)

Facility Surcharge $ 59 (Cost of the annual pass cost)

Total Cost per child (with fundraiser participation): $224

Total Cost per child (without fundraiser participation): $249
