Updated Cold Weather Practice Guidelines

Sharks,

As we head into a cooler stretch of weather, we want to let everyone know that our cold weather practice guidelines have been updated.

The minimum temperature for entering the water has been lowered to 60°F actual temperature or 58°F "feels like" temperature. If temperatures are below these minimums at the start of practice but are expected to rise, we will begin with dry land activities and move into the pool once conditions reach the required temperatures.

We recognize that every swimmer responds differently to colder weather, and we encourage families to use their best judgment regarding their swimmer's comfort level on chilly days. If your swimmer attends practice, we ask that they be prepared to participate under these guidelines.

Swimmers who attend should come prepared for both dry land and pool activities by bringing athletic shoes, warm layers, and all swim equipment.

Thank you for your flexibility, understanding, and support as we work to provide a safe and productive training environment for all swimmers.
