The Shriners' Parade is back! The Sharks are bringing back the tradition of the swim team's participation in the annual Addison - Medinah Shriners' Parade. 

All Sharks and their families are welcome to march. Sharks parade banners and flags will be displayed, and we will be handing out candy to the crowd. Please wear Sharks apparel if you can! Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can correctly estimate our required parade application.

Parade line-up will be at Addison Trail High School northeast parking lot (next to baseball field), in designated staging area 3-Green. All participants must arrive by 2:30pm. See instruction and map document links below or to the right. The parade will "step-off" at 3:00pm; and will proceed east on Army Trail Road until it reaches and ends on Kennedy Drive between the Addison Library and Indian Trail Jr. High entrances.

Parking will be available at Army Trail and Indian Trail schools, as well as Green Meadow Shopping Center. Shuttle buses from Indian Trail and Green Meadows will take participants to the Addison Trail line-up area from 12:30 - 2:30pm. Parade ends back at Indian Trail. Vehicles included in the parade should go directly to Addison Trail set-up area. Bathrooms will be open at Addison Trail during line-up. Water will be also be available.

After the parade there will be an after party at Friendship Plaza with music and food vendors. You may bring your own portable chairs and coolers, including alcoholic beverages. See here for music details. Map for Friendship Plaza here.

Hard to believe, but the End of the Year Banquet is upon us! 

Sharks will gather at our home pool, beginning at 5:30. Maps & directions

Tree Guys Pizza will arrive at approximately 5:45, compliments of the Parent Club. Other donated items will be available as well, including non-alcoholic beverages. 

At 6:15 we will begin our annual awards presentations. Coaches awards, first-year plaques, seasonal plates, remaining Swimathon prizes and annual gifts will be included. Something about free haircuts after that.

Hopefully the kids will be able to start the pool party by 7:00, as the Parent Club takes care of remaining business. After that, parents are welcome to join the kids in the pool! Maybe even a little karaoke, who knows?

Sharks must begin to take down and clean-up at 8:30. Everyone has to exit before 9:00pm.

Please join us and volunteer for a worthy cause!

On Wednesday, July 19, from 7:00 - 8:45pm, the Sharks will be volunteering to help Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) pack donated meals for families in need. FMSC is located at 740 Wiley Farm Court, Schaumburg, IL. 60173.

The number of swimmers who will be able to participate is limited to the number of parents who also volunteer to participate. The ratio of children to parents required by FMSC is 3 to 1 for grade school ages, and 4 to 1 for middle school and above. For swimmers: please RSVP as soon as possible. For parents: please sign-up to be a volunteer worker/chaperone/car pool driver.

We will meet at the Wood Dale pool at 6:00pm to organize swimmers into volunteer parent vehicles, and will leave the pool by no later than 6:15pm. We're due to arrive at FMSC at 6:45. Our volunteer shift will end at 8:45, and we will re-convene at the pool for swimmer pick-up at 9:15.
