On Wednesday, July 17, from 7:00 - 9:00pm, the Sharks will be volunteering to help Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) pack donated meals for families in need. FMSC is located at 740 Wiley Farm Court, Schaumburg, IL. 60173.

The number of swimmers who will be able to participate is limited to the number of parents who also volunteer to participate. The ratio of children to parents required by FMSC is 3 to 1 for grade school ages, and 4 to 1 for middle school and above. For swimmers: please RSVP as soon as possible. For parents: please sign-up to be a volunteer worker/chaperone/car pool driver.

We will meet at the Wood Dale pool at 6:00pm to organize swimmers into volunteer parent vehicles, and will leave the pool by no later than 6:15pm. We're due to arrive at FMSC at 6:45pm. Our volunteer shift will end at 9:00, and we will re-convene at the pool for swimmer pick-up at 9:30.

Show your Sharks spirit and participate in TP Night! On TP Night, Sharks go out and decorate the front of their teammates' homes for the upcoming conference meets. Participating swimmers are divided in groups, given a specific route, and driven to decorate with toilet paper, paper signs, and sidewalk chalk. Please RSVP and volunteer to drive our swimmers.

On Tuesday, June 24th, at 7:00am, swimmers will attempt to swim as many laps as they can to raise funds for team activities. NOTE: DUE TO TIME AND LANE CONSTRAINTS, A MAXIMUM 30 MINUTE TIME PERIOD PER SWIMMER HAS BEEN INSTITUTED I.E., AS MANY LAPS AS POSSIBLE IN 30 MINUTES

Parents may attend to watch & cheer, but are not required to. See calendar for available volunteer jobs. 

Normal practice schedule applies, but swimmers are encouraged to attend the entire event to cheer on their teammates.

Water, Gatorade, and of course, donuts, will be available, compliments of the Parent Club.

Forms will be available at upcoming meets & may also be found for printing here (2025 Swimathon pdfs). Swimmers will raise donations from friends & family per laps completed. Fixed donations are also acceptable, but not as much fun! Be sure to tell swimmers to estimate how many laps they can swim beforehand, so their sponsors can gauge an appropriate donation rate.

Prizes will be given to swimmers who raise the most!

(6) TBD Gold Medal gift cards will be awarded to the swimmer who raises the most in each of the following Swimathon age groups (with a minimum of $100 raised to be eligible):

12 and under

13 & 14

15 and older

Other TBD prizes as well for individual participants, roughly equivalent to 10% of funds raised

For the purposes of this event, a "lap" counted will be 25yds, or once across the pool

Due to the elimination of the Parent Club $50 FUNd fee, it is necessary for the Swimathon to be able to fund approximately 66% of all of 2025 expenditures, including social events, awards, the water park trip, and our scholarships. In order to prevent the $50 fee from returning, it is imperative that every Shark participates. Good luck, get those sponsors, and GO SHARKS!
